In the framework of its Industry 4.0 strategy approach, GF Machining Solutions has begun deploying modular, scalable solutions adaptable for improving key performance measures for various application segments.
 

Modular, scalable solutions

In addition to AgieCharmilles CUT P’s SMART and connected solutions to optimize productivity and maximize machine uptime and the rConnect suite of digital services, GF Machining Solutions devices are now ready to be deployed within an array of modular, scalable solutions, including its T.R.U.E. PRECISION digital, multi-process execution suite for the mold and die industry. T.R.U.E. PRECISION associates the System 3R WorkShop Manager automated cell control software with Autodesk and GF Machining Solutions computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing modules to facilitate the best integration of machines, robots and measurement systems, which will help users meet high accuracy requirements in the most simple and efficient way.

The full solution will integrate automated factories requiring interfacing with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) through the WorkShop Manager. A light solution will combine stand-alone EDM machines by activating only specific modules for code generation from CAD models.

Dedicated modules for both wire and die-sinking EDM will foster integration of such planning, preparation and execution suite with GF Machining Solutions’ eTracking traceability solution and rConnect modular digital services to advance manufacturers’ process and machine monitoring and control. Such capabilities are particularly critical in risk-averse, quality-centric industries such as medical and aerospace component manufacturing. Process and machine monitoring will be ensured through advanced information release from GF Machining Solutions devices with the rConnect infrastructure to provide remote, real-time feedback and control possibilities for increasing equipment efficiency from a general application perspective.
