Lead Product Engineer - Microlution

The Lead Product Engineer is the responsible person on R&D team to help drive the sales growth of their product. This person provides the main link between sales, service, production, and the R&D engineering disciplines. As this main link, this person is responsible to continually develop a proposed roadmap, provide pre- and post- sale technical guidance for projects, and drive product industrialization.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the sales team by estimating project technical scope for potential projects and providing requested technical information to sales team
  • After a project is won, clearly define the scope of work for each engineering discipline (eg. electrical, mechanical, software, apps, testing) for project kickoff meeting
  • Lead the development of user product documentation
  • Create and maintain a development roadmap to improve product differentiation and sales potential
  • Find opportunities for product industrialization and cost reduction while maintaining performance and quality
  • Lead the action plan effort for any critical customer issues that arise related to the product
  • Ensure effective communication between sales, service, production, and R&D related to the product
  • Ensure effective prioritization of R&D development tasks related to the product


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
  • Knowledge of machinery and equipment industry sector is an asset
  • Product development or applications for machine-based product is an asset
  • CAD experience is an asset
  • Process-oriented
  • Organized
  • Reliable
  • Good communication – verbal, written, and powerpoint
  • Self-starter
